| Abstract: | O presente artigo pretende analisar os símbolos litúrgicos da Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus como indício de uma prática híbrida. Com símbolos litúrgicos entendem-se todos os elementos que entram a fazer parte do culto, imagens, nomes de deuses, práticas e objetos utilizados durante as reuniões. Para isso, serão abordadas questões inerentes aos símbolos e sua função religiosa, para sucessivamente mostrar como estes passam por um processo de apropriação e ressignificação para entrar da dinâmica cúltica da igreja. Tentar-se-á elucidar o processo pelo qual a igreja lança mão de um acervo do imaginário dos seus fieis que encontra sua origem em outras tradições religiosas, em específico na afro-brasileira e na católica. Finalmente se apresentará como os elementos antes estudados encontram no culto seu pólo catalisador. |
| Abstract: | This article aims to analyze the liturgical symbols of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God as a evidence of a hybrid practice. With liturgical symbols refers to all the elements that take part in worship, like images, names of gods, practices and objects used during the meetings. To do it, it will be explored issues relating to religious symbols and their function, to show how these are submitted to a process of appropriation and reinterpretation to enter in the cult of the church. It will try to elucidate the process by which the church use a collection of imaginary of its members that find its origin in other religious traditions, specifically in the AfricanBrazilian and Catholic. Finally the worship will be presented as the pole that catalyses the elements explained before. |
