| Abstract: | O retratamento endodôntico é procedimento que é realizado quandoo tratamento anterior tem insucesso. Existem várias causas quepodem levar ao retratamento, entre elas: acesso insatisfatório aoscanais, extravasamento de material obturador, persistência de dor eedema, área radiolúcida previamente inexistente entre outras. Para arealização do retratamento endodôntico existem diversas técnicas.Podem ser utilizados os meios mecânicos, térmicos e químicos.Recentemente foi introduzido na prática endodôntica o uso das limasde níquel titânio no retratamento. O principal objetivo dessa técnica éreduzir o tempo gasto na remoção do material obturador dos canaisradiculares. Este estudo pretende fazer uma revisão de literaturasobre as técnicas utilizadas nos retratamentos endodônticos. |
| Abstract: | The endodontic retreatment is a procedure that is performed whenprevious treatment has failed. There are several causes that maylead to retreatment, including: poor access to canal , leakage offilling material, persistent pain and swelling, radiolucent areapreviously nonexistent among others. To perform the endodonticretreatment there are several techniques. Used may be mechanical,thermal and chemical. Recently been introduced into endodonticpractice the use of nickel titanium files for retreatment. The mainobjective of this technique is to reduce the time spent in the removalof filling material from root canals. This study aimed to review theliterature on the techniques used in endodontic retreatment. |
