Abstract: Ethnobotanical memory is an important pedagogical possibility in the relationship between school and community. Ethnobotanical memory is what makes possible, through ethnic culture, dialogues and reflections on ornamental, food and medicinal plants in the lives of people and places. The theme of collective memory based on the sharing of intergenerational knowledge about plants is essential to establish the students' affective bond with the school and the pursuit of their commitment to preserve the community's ethnic, cultural, and botanical roots. In this respect, the memory of ornamental, food and medicinal plants occupies a place of excellence because it is in the cultivation of the land and in the struggle for the survival of the poorer classes that popular wisdom guarantees sustenance and survival in the scarcity of resources. These teachings, often not learned at school, are transmitted orally, between generations and, almost always, reveal African, indigenous, or Afro-Brazilian origins. The action project - activity of the Specialization Course Teaching Residence for the Training of Basic Education Educators, a partnership between the Municipal Education Secretariat of Belo Horizonte and the Pedagogical Center of the Federal University of Minas Gerais - aimed to outline such memories, together with students from the Sergio Miranda Municipal School, Tupi neighborhood (North Region of Belo Horizonte).

Abstract: This monograph consists of the gathering of works developed during the Postgraduate Course lato sensu Teaching Residence for the Training of Basic Education Educators, Specialization level, offered by the Pedagogical Center of the School of Basic and Professional Education of the Federal University of Minas Gerais in partnership with the Belo Horizonte City Hall. The first part presents the Memorial of route, written from the second semester of 2018 to the end of the first semester of 2019, where I deposit reflections about my school and professional trajectory, as a student and later as a teacher, and in agreement with the teachers and supervisors from the Pedagogical Center and from the classes I observed at that school. The second part consists of the Action Project, written and developed at a Belo Horizonte School of Early Childhood Education - EMEI Braúnas, located in the Braúnas neighborhood, in the Regional Pampulha, in the second half of 2019. From then on, with many readings, seminars and debates, we started to create strategies that would bridge the gap between the learning acquired at the Pedagogical Center, and the teaching practice in the schools where I work, in order to achieve the objective of this training for the teachers of the Municipal Network of Belo Horizonte. In short, this text reflects on my teaching practice, through the works carried out during the course, from the theoretical foundations used to carry them out, until its completion, with the application of the Action Project - “Knowledge and valorization of Art / Culture of the city of Belo Horizonte "in the daily practice of the school where I work.

Abstract: The present monography is the result of continuing education experience in the Lato Sensu Graduate Course "Teacher Residency for the Training of Basic Education Educators" and consists of a memorial and an action plan implemented at the Fernando Dias Costa Municipal School, east of Belo Horizonte, during the second half of 2019. In the Memorial, a reflection of the author's personal and professional life experience is made, including the formative experience in Teacher’s Residency Course - material that was written throughout the course between 2018 and 2019. The Action Plan was developed during the first semester of 2019 and implemented during the second semester of the same year with 9th year elementary school students. The didactic experience carried out by the discipline of History aimed to bring school and the community in which it is inserted through the elaboration of a historical-cultural path through its surroundings, identifying places of memory and cultural references of the neighborhood Taquaril B. The pedagogical proposal was based on the perspective of the "Educating City" and the conception that students can learn about History and its concepts, especially the relationship past and present through the study of the urban environment, in our case, the neighborhood. The study focused on the rescue of local memory and its history through the investigation of students in activities inside and outside the school space. The activities aimed at learning in non-formal spaces and teaching beyond the classroom. At the end of the implementation of the pedagogical proposal, a folder was produced with a map of the school's surroundings, characterizing the places of memory and cultural references and tracing a route or trail to be taken by the other students of the school. This material remains in the school as a contribution to the community and represents a sensitive look of the students about the neighborhood rescuing local history and casting a look at what they called "Taquaril of good". The project awakened in the student’s commitment and a dynamic vision of the neighborhood, with its changes over time. The project sought to encourage student participation, a critical view of the local reality and the collective struggle for the right to the city.
