Abstract: Several authors state that the individual learns when he acquires skills to solve problems and perform tasks by consolidating the connections between nerve cells. An individual phenomenon shaped and influenced by external and internal factors, obeying the historical circumstances of each one. There are evidences that the social, economic and political context interferes with the individual's learning process and that emotions, which play an important role in this process, when negative, can create obstacles to the learning process. Through the analysis of articles indexed on the SciELO platforms, CAPES Journal Portal and Google Scholar, this work intends to examine the literature in neuroscience about the role of emotions, most notably fear, in the learning process and thereby be able to contribute to the dissemination of ideas about the system of emotions, which may motivate future studies capable of elucidating points still open and trying to seek answers to the following question: How would fear influence learning processes?
