Teses de artistas: relevância das informações como ferramenta para preservação da arte contemporânea

Abstract

Understanding conceptual and material aspects of the works of art are conditions for preservation of any heritage property. In the case of contemporary works, all primary and secondary sources about the artist are important sources of documentation for its preservation. This article aims to emphasize the importance of the information contained in dissertations, theses, memorials made by artists who are not always research tools of the professionals who have the mission to conserve contemporary art.
