Ophion similis (Szépligeti, 1905) é diagnosticado e ilustrado, com o primeiro registro para Marrocos. Hellwigiella é redescrita e ilustrada, com comentários sobre sua diferenciação de O. similis. Uma chave para as duas espécies válidas, H. dichromoptera e H. nigripennis stat. rev., é fornecido.pt_BR
