Resumen: | This material consists of two independent units, that were designed for intermediate teenage students, which contain the four language skills (reading, listening, speaking, and writing) in an integrated way. Both units were developed using authentic materials. The first unit makes students discuss stereotypes, which is an important issue nowadays, considering the variety of people we interact with in our daily lives. Its objective is to raise the discussion about labeling people into categories and to make learners aware of this type of judgment. The second unit focuses on diversity, promoting students to think critically about how a person and her or his differences can complement another one, to contribute to the development of private, social, and work life. It also provides a teacher’s guide with all the steps to help teachers use the material with their students. Finally, at the end of it, a rationale is presented, which contains all the theories that provided the background for the creation of all the material. |
