dc.description.abstractThis article makes a brief historical reconstitution of how geological heritage and related themes have been incorporated into actions and research in the Quadrilatero Ferrifero region, with its objectives and results. It shows how these themes gain the regional arena and influence the development andgrowth of dissertations and thesis. It discusses important aspects for the continuity of the promotion of conservation of the geological heritage in the context of one of the most important mineral provinces of the world.pt_BR
