dc.description.abstract | This essay seeks to expand the knowledge in the area of Sustainability in Construction, by analyzing the current situation of the recycling sector, more specifically, the recycling of gypsum wallboard, also known as drywall. The material has gained considerable regard in recent decades due to its versatility and the tendency of builders to the use of prefabricated building systems, has been used in walls, ceilings, internal partition walls and even outside in its water resistant version (also known in Brazil as green boards). Thus, with the growth of the drywall industry, comes also the need and responsibility to recycle the waste, minimizing the amount of gypsum waste generated and reducing the consumption of natural resources. The idea is then to analyze the process of recycling drywall, checking its viability, quality and application forms of the final product. This work will also expose a case study: it is a transitory building in the city of Belo Horizonte, of which walls, ceilings and partitions were manufactured using the material. | pt_BR |
| pt_BR |
