Avanços e desafios da educação permanente para formação profissional em ambientes hospitalares

To relate to continuing education with the hospital setting its importance becomes even more evident as the final product of the work performed directly affects the health of individuals. Identify the advances and challenges of continuing education for vocational training in hospital settings. The study was conducted through integrative review method using primary articles. For the selection, we used two databases: SCIELO and LILACS. The search for articles published in the last ten years was performed (2004-2014) and the sample of this review consisted of six articles which were analyzed in two categories with category A related to the progression of the use of continuing education for vocational training in hospital settings and category B related to implementation difficulties of continuing education for vocational training in hospital settings. In the analyzed studies, it was shown that continuous education has been adopted by various institutions for professional training. It is considered this fact a breakthrough mainly for this education is continuous, multidisciplinary and aim to transform practices involving several professional opinions about the theme. As a challenge to be faced, there is the difficulty of establishing a real link between education and health both in the actions of health services, the management and training institutions. In this scenario, the challenge is to implement teaching-learning processes that are, in fact, driven by critical-reflective actions and the collective construction of knowledge causes confidence in their professional work and their knowledge. It was evident that the discussion on the progress and challenges of continuing education for vocational training in hospitals requires a broad debate, which must be made effective in the sense that lifelong learning is a facilitator for resolution of the deficiencies of knowledge presented by health workers in hospital environments.
