Title: A proposal for real-life teaching for Higher Education: unidade didática para o ensino de inglês

Abstract: Teaching in Brazil has got its own peculiarities. Contrary to other countries which have got a population of native speakers, most of the professionals are Brazilians and teaching in most contexts require strong educational background, which means being graduated from a university in an English Teaching Education Programme. As I needed my own space in the market, I took the course myself. What I did not anticipate was the fact that the course would not be as valuable to my teaching skills and knowledge as I expected it to be.
