| Abstract: | A performance/instalação Desenhando com terços de Márcia X constitui o objeto principal dessa pesquisa. A partir da articulação de conceitos como erotismo, sagrado e profano, pretendemos demonstrar que em sua obra não há um movimento puro e único de iconoclastia ou profanação, mas uma coexistência de contrários, o que torna a artista uma criadora de enigmas e paradoxos. Em sua obra, haveria nesse sentindo, ao mesmo tempo, um jogo entre profanação e sacralização. Os caminhos singulares pelos quais a artista optou por trilhar em sua trajetória a distinguem, desde seu início na década de 1980, de qualquer grupo ou movimento da arte brasileira, sobretudo aquele que convencionalmente ficou conhecido como Geração 80. |
| Abstract: | The performance / installation "Desenhando com Terços" by Márcia X is the main subject of this paper. From the articulation of concepts such as eroticism, sacred and profane, we intend to demonstrate that in her work there is no pure and unique movement of iconoclasm or profanation, but a coexistence of opposites, which makes the artist a creator of enigmas and paradoxes. In her work, there would be at the same time a puzzle between profanation and sacralization. The unique ways in which the artist has chosen to trace her trajectory distinguish her, since her first start in 1980s, from any other group or movement of Brazilian art, especially the one that conventionally became known as "Generation 80". |
