| Abstract: | Esta dissertação tem como objetivo investigar as diferentes formas de compilação do conhecimento humano na contemporaneidade, principalmente no universo virtual, a partir da análise das obras do escritor Jorge Luis Borges e do cineasta Peter Greenaway. Eles reabrem a prática da enciclopédia e subvertem a ordenação tradicional do conhecimento por meio da noção de inclassificável. Com o uso das taxonomias e das representações do saber, esses autores criam obras híbridas e repletas de ramificações, ironizando a possibilidade de racionalização e sistematização definitivas do mundo. Para isso, pretende-se analisar as obras literárias 'A Biblioteca de Babel' (1944), 'O idioma analítico de John Wilkins' (1952) e O livro dos seres imaginários (1967), assim como os filmes A última tempestade (Prospero's books, 1991) e O livro de cabeceira (The Pillow Book, 1996). A partir desse esquema será possível traçar um estudo mais amplo sobre as enciclopédias virtuais e o saber tecido pela coletividade |
| Abstract: | The objective of this work is to investigate the different forms of compilation of human knowledge in contemporary society, especially in the virtual universe, from the analysis of the works of the writer Jorge Luis Borges and the filmmaker Peter Greenaway. They reopen the practice of encyclopedia and they subvert the traditional knowledge through the concept of unclassifiable. With the use of taxonomies and representations of knowledge, these authors create hybrid works and plenty of branches, sending up the possibility of rationalization and systematization of the world. For this, we intend to analyze literary works "La Biblioteca de Babel" (1944), "El idioma analitico de John Wilkins" (1952) and El libro de los seres imaginarios (1967), as well as films Prospero's books (1991) and The Pillow Book (1996). From this scheme it will be possible to draw a broader study about the virtual encyclopedias and the collective knowledge. |
