Abstract

This study aims to investigate the skills that should be part of the training nurses to perform the duties of Coordinator Municipal Primary Health Care From a literature review, with a qualitative approach, through scientific databases and technical and legal documents on Primary through the Family Health Strategy, and on the professional nurse who is a member of this crucial context, exercising positions of management of health services. Presents an experience report of the professional nurse as Municipal Coordinator of Primary Health Care in the municipality of Sponsorship-MG. The study also focuses on the principles of primary health care and the responsibilities of the local manager in the National Health System, which has been consolidated in Primary Care through the Family Health Strategy. Addresses the question of the professional nurse who, along with the performance of their duties, often need to occupy positions of management of health services. The study, to describe characteristics of the NHS and the tasks of the coordinator identifies principles for the development of management skills, which are absent from the training of nurses. It was concluded that the assignments to the local manager of the health system should be disclosed and included in the training of nurses, so that they are in fact developed and contribute to the good performance of health teams, contributing to qualified health services and strengthened, benefiting in its entirety the Unified Health System
