A experiência de mulheres gestoras atuando no enfrentamento a COVID-19 na Fundação Hospitalar São Francisco de Assis

Abstract

Unprecedented, the pandemic caused by the New Coronavirus paralyzed the world, altering routine and business. Adapting to this new scenario is the great challenge for people, companies and, above all, health agencies that are currently struggling to contain the spread of the virus and develop a cure for COVID-19. The pandemic situation demands a lot from the collaborators, mainly from those health professionals directly linked to the fight against this disease. Several challenges have also been faced by women managers in health institutions, and in this scenario it is essential to be prepared and aware of changes, with highly trained managers and teams to be able to continue providing a quality service within the institution, with safety and focus in the patient. From this perspective, the present study aimed to report the experience of women in management positions working to fight COVID-19 in a general reference hospital for the care of the disease. The production of this work was based on the reports of women who occupy management positions in specific and strategic sectors in the institution. The reports were analyzed and contextualized by categories defined by the author. In view of the results obtained, the need to create strategies for managers to deal with the situation through actions that involve them and their teams, and also actions that consolidate good crisis management for the institution, through an analysis of the whole the context experienced during the pandemic.
