| Abstract: | A saúde bucal da criança constitui-se em importante tema que deve ser tratado dentro da Atenção Primária a Saúde. O contato, após o nascimento da criança, ou preferentemente durante o pré-natal, entre os membros da equipe da Estratégia de Saúde da Família (ESF) e os pais representa uma oportunidade para estimular escolhas saudáveis, quanto aos conceitos e às práticas adequadas à saúde bucal. Este trabalho teve como objetivos formular propostas, a partir da revisão de literatura, voltadas para orientar pais e responsáveis por crianças na faixa etária entre 0 e 3 anos quanto à promoção, prevenção e diagnóstico precoce de enfermidades relacionadas à saúde bucal, em particular a cárie dentária. A revisão foi realizada na BIREME, nas bases BBO, MEDLINE E LILACS, por artigos publicados no período de 1995 a 2010 na língua portuguesa. Foram selecionados 19 artigos para leitura e análise. Os resultados apontam, entre outros, para orientação da gestante e da dieta, controle mecânico do biofilme bucal e uso racional do flúor, ficando ainda claro que os conhecimentos advindos de diferentes áreas da saúde são imprescindíveis para uma abordagem adequada para a saúde bucal nesse grupo etário. |
| Abstract: | Oral health of the children is a important issue to be discussed in daily activities of Primary Health Care. The contact, after the birth of the child, or preferentially during the first days of life, among the members of the team of the Family Health Strategy (FHS) and parents represents a chance to stimulate healthful choices. This work had as objective to formulate proposals, from a literature review, to guide parents and/or responsible for children in the age between 0 and 3 years about the promotion, prevention and early diagnosis of diseases related to the oral health, specially caries. The revision was carried through BIREME, in bases BBO, MEDLINE and LILACS, for articles published in the period of 1995 the 2010 in the portuguese language. Nineteen articles were selected and analyzed. The results point dietary and pregnant orientation, the mechanic control of the dental plaque and the rational use of fluorine. It can be also pointed that different approaches from the team is necessary to provide the most important information in oral health to this group. |
