Intervenção educativa em hipertensão arterial e diabetes: Equipe de Saúde da Família - Turmalina 2, do bairro Turmalina, de Governador Valadares Minas Gerais

Abstract

The scope of the Family Health Strategy Turmalina 2, which belongs to the Turmalina district of Governador Valadares, is home to 758 families, totaling 2,823 people. A number of problems have been identified in this community, including high prevalence of hypertension and diabetes, which are considered priority problems by the team. These are chronic non-communicable diseases of high prevalence and stand out among the main global risks of mortality. Therefore, this study aims to propose a project of educational intervention, together with the users of the health service of the team Turmalina 2, for better control and prevention of diabetes mellitus and systemic arterial hypertension, thus ensuring the systematic follow-up of the people who are carriers and the development of actions related to health promotion and prevention of these diseases. The Situational Strategic Planning method was applied and intervention actions were presented for the critical nodes "Lifestyle: sedentarism and obesity", "Low level of information", "Permanent education of the team: information capacity" and "Poor coverage". As a conceptual basis, a bibliographic review is presented on "Family Health Strategy", "Health Education" and "Systemic arterial hypertension and diabetes mellitus".
