Projeto de intervenção para diminuir a alta incidência de obesidade em adultos da área de abrangência da Equipe de Saúde São João, Diamantina Minas Gerais

Abstract

In the situational diagnosis of the scope of the Family Health Strategy (ESF) São João, in Diamantina, MG, a high incidence of obesity was observed in adults. Thus, this study aimed to elaborate a plan of action to reduce the number of obese adults in the São João FHS. For this study, the Strategic Situational Planning and a review of the literature were used. The following critical nodes were selected: inadequate life habits; lack of training of physical education staff; level of information and work process of the team. Based on these critical nodes, a few actions were proposed. The results of this intervention proposal made possible a critical and reflexive analysis on the repercussion of the educator's role of health professionals in the individual, the family and the community, in the search for behavioral changes that result in the promotion of health.
