| Abstract: | O maior desafio da hipertensão arterial sistêmica (HAS) em pacientes idosos é a adesão ao seu tratamento, sendo assim, este estudo teve como objetivos Identificar os fatores que influenciam na adesão ao tratamento da hipertensão arterial em idosos hipertensos em nossa área de abrangência, identificar os principais motivos referidos pelos pacientes hipertensos para a não adesão aos tratamentos e avaliar o nível de conhecimento dos pacientes sobre a hipertensão arterial e riscos. O problema prioritário é a hipertensão arterial no idoso, mediante o estudo do diagnostico situacional da saúde do PSF III. Dr. Avelino Dias Pimont, uma amostra de 307 pacientes idosos hipertensos a traves do método de estimativa rápida. Os resultados mostram que a principal razão para a não adesão ao tratamento medicamentoso do paciente é o défice ou pouco conhecimento da doença e insuficiente nível de escolaridade dos pacientes, o baixo nível económico e o alto custo dos medicamentos que não são fornecidos pelo SUS. Além de hábitos de vida não saudáveis de alguns deles. Conclui-se que nossa equipe tem que planejar medidas e ações de intervenção com o objetivo de aumentar o número de pacientes aderentes ao tratamento e melhorar a qualidade de vida deles. |
| Abstract: | The biggest challenge of systemic arterial hypertension (SAH) in elderly patients is adherence to their treatment, therefore, this study aimed to identify the factors that influence in adherence to the treatment of hypertension in elderly hypertensive patients in our area, identify the main reasons referred to by hypertensive patients for the non-adherence to treatment and assess the level of knowledge of the patients about high blood pressure and risks. A sample of 307 hypertensive elderly patients, through the rapid assessment method. The results show that the main reason for non-adherence to drug treatment of the patient is the lack or little knowledge of disease and inadequate education level of patients, low economic level and the high cost of medicines that are not provided by SUS. It is concluded that our team has to plan intervention measures and actions with the objective of increasing the number of patients adhering to treatment and improve the quality of their lives. |
