Implantação de um plano de intervenção para monitoramento da pressão arterial de pacientes hipertensos - Piracema - Minas Gerais

Abstract

Hypertension is a disease that affects a large part of the Brazilian population. His diagnosis is compromised, because it is a disease considered silent. Its symptoms lead the patient to question about other diseases and should be checked by a physician for the correct award. The consequences of the lack of treatment are drastic and may lead to death. The community in question has a large proportion of hypertensive patients who are being treated by the public health network. In order to base the plan, a bibliographic research was done in the Virtual Health Library with the descriptors: hypertensive nephropathy, prevention and Primary Attention to Health, as well as studies with the purpose of searching the causes that have been increasing the increase in the number of hypertensives attended by the basic health unit "Hospital Joaquim Pinto Lara" in the municipality of Piracema. As well as the creation of a planning and follow-up in the treatment of the disease, within the conditions of the health unit, believing in the ability of the professionals to deal with the new health actions. It is important to emphasize that raising the awareness of the population to acquire healthy habits and lifestyles is fundamental so that the results obtained in the treatment are satisfactory. The sedentary lifestyle, coupled with bad eating habits are the main causes for the increase of hypertensive in the municipality and for this reason it makes the necessary behavior change.
