Abstract

The present research had as scope to consider the influence of the affective relations in the existential project from an existential phenomenological analysis. It should be emphasized that this study is based on restlessness from experience observed in the clinical exercise and translates an effort to glimpse the influence of the affective relations to the process of human development and solidity of the existential project. It has been found that the need for love, affection, and approval occurs from the earliest months of life and is established as the child grows and establishes new bonds, making it possible even to become a prisoner of one's own childhood. It was identified how the emotional life of the adult can be impacted and triggered by several factors characterized from the affective dynamics lived in the primary relations, reflecting in the course of his life. We sought to make explicit the discussion about the genesis of affection and its relation to the project of life. It is understood that the clinic puts us in the face of great challenges, in which new forms of understanding of human existence are necessary and a clinical practice that supports the sufferings of contemporary man, helping the adult to reconcile with his past and to tread the path change and personal acceptance. Therefore, it is a bibliographical research that sought to find specific knowledge based on the conceptual and reflective dimension to describe the theme, using as inspirations the works of Alice Miller, Lise Bourbeau, Viktor Frankl and José Paulo Giovanetti.
