| Abstract: | Este artigo trata-se de um relato de experiência profissional no Sistema Prisional de Minas Gerais. O objetivo é entender os limites para a inserção da metodologia APAC nas Unidades Prisionais mineiras, tendo como ponto de partida a análise dos 12 (doze) elementos fundamentais que amparam as APAC, perante a realidade das Unidades Prisionais. Os resultados indicam que apesar de fazerem parte do mesmo sistema, Secretaria de Estado de Administração Prisional (SEAP), e serem orientados pela mesma lei, LEP nº 7210 de 1984, as Associações de Proteção e Assistência aos Condenados (APAC) e as Unidades Prisionais possuem funções finalísticas diferentes: a primeira voltada para a recuperação das pessoas privadas de liberdade e a segunda de acautelamento dessas mesmas pessoas. |
| Abstract: | This article is an account of professional experience in the Prison System of Minas Gerais. The objective is to understand the limits for the insertion of the APAC methodology in the Prison Units in Minas Gerais, starting from the analysis of the 12 (twelve) fundamental elements that support the APAC, in view of the reality of the Prison Units. The results indicate that although they are part of the same system, State Department of Prison Administration (SEAP), and are guided by the same law, LEP nº 7210 of 1984, the Associations of Protection and Assistance to the Convicted (APAC) and the Prison Units have different finalistic functions: the first one focused on the recovery of persons deprived of their liberty and the second to protect those same persons. |
