| Abstract: | O autor desta dissertação visa apresentar uma leitura crítica do trabalho do diretor e dramaturgo pernambucano Fernando Limoeiro, a partir de exemplos pinçados de sua obra, enfatizando a releitura cênica de elementos simbólicos e formais das culturas tradicionais, em especial do mamulengo, o boneco popular tradicional brasileiro, tipicamente nordestino. Uma proposta de teatro nacional e popular é formulada por Limoeiro no manifesto Dramaturgia do Agora, que descreve sua teoria e prática de um teatro de linguagem popular, rápido e dialógico, ligado aos movimentos sociais e nascido da aspereza e da riqueza cultural e artística do agreste e zona canavieira de Pernambuco. |
| Abstract: | The author of this thesis looks into presenting a critical reading of the work of diretor and playwirght Fernando Limoeiro, from Pernambuco/Brasil, based on some of his texts, enfacizing the scenic recreation of formal and symbolic elements from the traditional cultures, specially the mamulengo, the traditional puppet theater art form from northeastern Brasil.This proposition of a popular and national theater is formulated by the author in the manifesto Dramaturgia do Agora, which describes his own theory and practice of a quick, popular and dialogical theater, bonded to the social causes, born in the rispness and the artistic and cultural wealthiness of the Agreste and sugar cane monoculture zone of Pernambuco. |
