| Abstract: | O presente estudo trata-se de uma revisão da literatura, com o objetivo de analisar os efeitos do uso da bandagem funcional em pacientes com síndrome da dor Patelofemoral. Para tanto, foram selecionados seis artigos, através de uma busca na base de dados Medline com as palavras chaves “patellofemoral taping”. Os seis artigos discutiram sobre os efeitos das diferentes técnicas de bandagens funcionais (rígida e não rígida), avaliando a dor, a eletromiografia, a cinética e a cinemática de indivíduos em diferentes situações. Os resultados encontrados na literatura, sugerem que as melhorias na ativação muscular encontradas em pacientes sintomáticos portadores da síndrome patelofemoral, podem estar relacionadas à melhora na dor. Mais estudos são necessários para avaliar os efeitos da bandagem funcional nos indivíduos sintomático |
| Abstract: | The present study is a review of the literature, with the objective of analyzing the effects of the use of functional bandage in patients with Patellofemoral pain syndrome. For this, six articles were selected through a search in the Medline database with the key words "patellofemoral taping". The six articles discussed the effects of different functional bandage techniques (rigid and non rigid), evaluating the pain, electromyography, kinetics and kinematics of individuals in different situations. The results found in the literature suggest that improvements in muscle activation found in symptomatic patients with patellofemoral syndrome may be related to improvement in pain. More studies are needed to evaluate the effects of functional banding on symptomatic individuals. |
