Abstract: | This Final Conclusion Paper entitled “Stop Motion and production of narrative texts in Elementary School” brings together two documents: 1. Route Memorial and 2. Research on the use of digital technologies in the production of narrative text by 6th grade students. The Memorial brings a personal narrative with the of the teacher-researcher thoughts on her way in Education and her questions, which led her to keep on training and improving. This narrative presents the moments that were crucial for the choice of teaching, to the experiences lived in classroom and in the Teaching Residence course. Meanwhile, the research presents the epistemological bases of the research carried out, the methodology used in it, the data collected and the interpretations of these data. We observed the effects of using the Stop Motion technique in the production of narrative texts by students, informants, in this research, looking for elements that would lead us to this question’s answer: to what extent the pedagogical use of digital technologies can contribute for students to become subjects of their textual productions? We believe that merging digital technologies with text production practices at school may favor the adoption of more active postures by students in their learning process and the social use of the language in school. To develop this work, we adopted a socio-interactive theoretical approach (Bronckart, 2010) that focuses on the interaction between subjects, implemented in historical, social and cultural contexts. This theoretical approach has a great influence on the way we conceive the terms language / human speech and, consequently, on the way we conduct mother language teaching practices, as it proposes a discursive approach to language, in which the role played by the "other" gains an explanatory and constitutive dimension. We add to this understanding of language its multimodal character, based on Ribeiro (2013). The observations we made during the entire investigation process and the interpretation of the collected data showed evidence that the use of digital technologies has encouraged students to become subjects in their productions and have a change of understanding regarding the construction of knowledge. |
