| Abstract: | A tese investiga um notável aporte da etnologia africanista para a antropologia, significativo para os estudos da linguagem, da palavra e da voz: a etnografia Etnologia e Linguagem: a palavra do povo Dogon (Calame-Griaule, 1965). Esse estudo clássico, cuja contribuição ainda não foi incorporada pela antropologia brasileira, é abordado nessa tese especialmente por meio das noções de pessoa, corpo, palavra e voz, a partir das quais desenvolvem-se reflexões acerca dos limites e das possibilidades da tradução antropológica, considerando seus diferentes contextos. |
| Abstract: | This thesis investigates a remarkable contribution from Africanist ethnology to anthropology, which is significant for the studies of language, words and voice: the ethnography Ethnologie et Langage: la parole chez les Dogon – Calame-Griaule, 2009 [1965] – (Words and the Dogon World – 1986 [1965]). This classic study, whose contribution has not been embraced by Brazilian anthropology yet, is addressed by this thesis mainly through the notions of person, body, word and voice. From these views, we develop reflections on the limits and possibilities of anthropological translation, taking into account their different contexts. |
