| Title: | Eficácia do uso de palmilhas em indivíduos com síndrome do estresse medial da tíbia: uma revisão da literatura |

| Abstract: | Verifica eficácia do uso de palmilhas ortopédicas em indivíduos com síndrome do estresse medial da tíbia por meio de uma revisão da literatura. Métodologia: A busca foi realizada nas base de dados Medline. Foram utilizadas as palavras-chaves: medial stress syndrome of the tibia; insoles; shin splints; flat foot; stress fracture. Foram selecionados estudos publicados no período compreendido entre 2010 e 2019, nos idiomas português e inglês. Resultados: Encontrou-se um total de 46 estudos a partir da busca eletrônica. Desses, apenas 10 satisfizeram os critérios de inclusão e foram analisados integralmente, da análise apenas 5 atendia total os critérios de inclusão. Conclusão: Com base nos resultados deste estudo, concluímos que o uso de palmilhas ortopédicas não é uma estratégia eficaz para prevenção e tratamento de indivíduos com síndrome do estresse medial da tíbia, mas futuros estudos prospectivos devem ser realizados para confirmar isso |
| Abstract: | Objective:To verify the effectiveness of the use of orthopedic insoles in individuals with medial tibial stress syndrome by means of a review of the literature. Methodology:The search was performed in the Medline database. The following keywords were used: medial stress syndrome of the tibia; insoles; shin splints; flat foot; stress fracture. We selected studies published between 2010 and 2019, in Portuguese and English. Results:A total of 46 studies were found from the electronic search. Of these, only 10 met the inclusion criteria and were fully analyzed; only 5 met the inclusion criteria. Conclusion:Based on the results of this study, we concluded that the use of orthopedic insoles is not an effective strategy for the prevention and treatment of individuals with MTSS, but future prospective studies should be performed to confirm this. |
