Abstract: This intervention project aimed to implement a change in the care offered to women in the Pre Induction Childbirth Program. The intervention site of this study was the Hospital and Maternity Dona Regina, in the Induction Pre-Delivery sector, in the city of Palmas, State of Tocantins, in the year 2017. The intervention project started with the situational diagnosis through wheels of conversation with the Nursing team and in the sector's parturients, later a literature review was carried out in the search for scientific evidences about the fragilities raised in the situational diagnosis. The review was carried out from the close reading of approximately 40 published national and international articles on the subject and analysis of the book of indicators of the sector. As results were found weaknesses related to the medical staff (reduced sizing, distance between sectors, non-administration of misoprostol at hospital standard time), related to Nursing staff (fear of complications during labor induction, lack of confidence in the use of oxytocin in the sector, difficulty in evaluating signs of active labor) and parturients (lack of parturients' privacy and Obstetric violence). As an intervention, a lecture was offered to professionals about the methods of induction to childbirth, in order to increase knowledge and safety of these, the elaboration of work instruction with rules, routines and behaviors of the Pre Induction Childbirth, for the parturients was posted poster explaining induction process and benefits of normal childbirth and continuity of the wheels of conversations with educational character. Based on the circumstances raised and discussed in this project, it is concluded that the health education and performance of the Obstetric Nurse is fundamental to change this reality in the labor induced in the Pre Induction Childbirth.
