Aplicação de uma intervenção: métodos não farmacológicos direcionados as parturientes no alívio da dor no processo de parto e nascimento

Abstract

This intervention project had the objective of orienting the parturients regarding the use of non-pharmacological methods during the process of birth and birth. It was an intervention project carried out at the Dom Orione Hospital starting in October 2017, giving continuity to the completion of the specialization. Target group: laboring mothers admitted to the Reception and referred to the Obstetric Center. The situational diagnosis was performed at the Reception during five days of the week, with pregnant women after entering the sector, to be submitted to the initial care by means of risk classification and Visual Analogue Scale: Pain evaluation. It was observed that among the 25 pregnant women studied, only 12 knew the methods, 2 only knew its purpose and the remaining 11 were pregnant, were unaware of the methods, their purpose and the right to use during labor. The intervention was performed at the Obstetric Center with 102 pregnant women, 90 of whom were accompanied by husbands, mothers or in-laws. Of the 90, only 30 women knew the non-pharmacological methods of pain relief and 60 pregnant women were not aware of the methods; only 12 women in total were alone during the normal labor and were resistant to using the methods. Observed that the pregnant women were encouraged to use the methods available in the sector (hot sprinkler and Swiss ball) had a faster evolution of delivery than others and consequently reported less pain in relation to the others. The pregnant women who were alone showed no interest in the use of the methods, even stressing their benefits, they were crying, reporting more pain from the birth process until the baby's birth.
