O acompanhante durante pré-parto, parto e pós-parto na Maternidade do Hospital Dr. Badaró Júnior, Minas Novas-MG

Abstract

The presence of a companion during the parturition process provides physical and emotional benefits, as well as a good evolution of labor and delivery, as it makes the parturient safe and autonomous, as well as being a right of Brazilian women, as established by law. After a survey of problems found at the Dr. Badaró Júnior Hospital, which made it impossible to provide a more humanized and safe delivery, an absence of companion during the PPP was identified, as described in Law 11.108 / 05. Currently, Dr. Badaró Junior Maternity receives only female companions, who are not always allowed to remain with the woman during labor, delivery and postpartum. Some pregnant women arrive at the maternity hospital and remain during all hospitalization without companion due to the ignorance about their rights. Thus, this work has the general objective: To guarantee the right of accompanying the parturients in labor of internment in the Hospital Dr. Badaró Júnior. It is an intervention project carried out from November 2016 to October 2017, targeting physicians, maternity nursing team, technical manager and hospital manager, with which awareness and training meetings were held with the creation of POP on the presence of chaperone during the prepartum, delivery and puerperium. Awareness raising and training of primary health care nurses in the city was also carried out with the aim of ensuring that pregnant women are guided during prenatal care about the right of caregivers during the PPP, and these are of their choice. It is possible to perceive as factors that make this practice difficult, the ambience of the place and the preparation of the companion, since the physical structure of the institution does not have individual boxes in the joint accommodation, besides the lack of awareness of the multiprofessional team directed to the follow-up of these pregnant women by people of their own choosing. On the other hand, the facilitating factors were the lack of need for financial expenses and the collaboration of the ESF team to guide pregnant women during prenatal care about their rights. It is hoped that this project will promote greater awareness of the right of women in the institution studied and with that, an improvement in the quality of care.
