dc.description.abstract | Since CMOSisreachingitsphysicallimitsforminiaturization,newtechnologiesarose to findalliestothesilicon,allowingacontinuousdevelopmentofintegratedcircuits. Among thesetechnologies,NanomagneticLogic(NML)becomesapromisingonedue to itslowenergydissipationlevelandcapabilitytoperformlogicatroomtemperature. This technologyworksthroughthemagnetostaticdipolarinteractionbetweenparticles in thenanometerscale.Nanomagnetshaveonlytwostablemagnetizationstatesdue to theirelongatedshape,thusallowingtherepresentationofBooleanvalues‘0’and ‘1’. SeveralstudiesonNMLdemonstratecircuitsintheoreticalandexperimentalways. However,thereisaneedforefficientsimulationtoolstoanalyzesignificantcomponents, whichrelyonstrongtheoreticalfundaments.ThisworkpresentsNMLSim2.0,arobust CAD andsimulationtoolforNMLthroughtheequationofLandau-Lifshitz-Gilbert.A comparison withOOMMF(ObjectOrientedMicroMagneticFramework)validatesthe softwareofthiswork,whichprovestobeatleastfourtimesmoreefficientthanstate of theart.Acomparativeanalysisverifiesthethermalnoisemethod,wherethetool reproducesresultsfromworksintheliterature.ThoughNMLSim2.0,amethodology for circuitcustomizationisdeveloped,allowingthedesignertouseshapeengineering, leading tothecorrectnessofthestructures.NMLSim2.0testsa4-bitsripplecarry adder usingthismethodology,showingthepotentialofthesoftwareforthesimulation of massivenanomagneticcircuits. | pt_BR |
