Comparação da dupla tarefa na marcha em indivíduos com a doença de Parkinson: revisão narrativa da literatura

Abstract

Gait disturbances associated with double task (DT) or simultaneous task (motor and cognitive systems) is commonly found in several phases in Parkinson's disease (PD). There are several reports in the literature that DT is very compromised and other studies have reported some benefits. Cognition impairment is one of the non-motor characteristics in PD, which can reach both in the early stages of the disease and in the final stages. Affecting the quality of life of these individuals studies seek to investigate the effects and strategies of how exercises can act in PD patients. At present, the evidences are insufficient to suggest modalities of exercise to improve cognition and/or gait with DT in individuals with PD. Goal: To analyze the various articles in the literature that report the impact that DT interferes in the gait of PD patients. Methodology: The references research was conducted through Medline, Scielo and Lilacs, to investigate the effects that the DT can interact in the GAIT of individuals with PD. Results: We included 5 studies (see tables), all were compared with DT in gait with individuals with PD (189 individuals) and controls (257 individuals without PD) in several situations both in cognitive and motor stimulation. Conclusion: Further Studies are needed to investigate the cognitive and motor relationships and the execution of the movements related to the double task in the gait for patients with Parkinson's disease and thus identify the interferences and better understanding of the activities In the long term, as in other levels of disease severity, new stimulations, therapeutic approaches and broader studies, avoiding bad interpretations related to this issue.
