Parte-se do pressuposto que durante o período hegemônico da “Nova Geografia” os estudos regionais vinculados à geografia econômica reforçaram a subnacionalidade atribuída à região, porém nos trabalhos regionais de geografia política podem ter predominado abordagens multiescalares. |
| Abstract: | This paper addresses the regional scale in Human Geography in the transition from “Classical Geography” to “New Geography”. It is assumed that, during the hegemony of the “New Geography”, regional studies, associated with economic geography, strengthened the subnational understanding of the region. However, in regional and political geography multi-scale approaches may have been prevalent. |
