Abstract: | Ao longo dos anos 2000 e 2010, a América Latina foi palco da emergência de vários partidos de esquerda que lograram chegar ao Executivo Nacional de seus países. A assim chamada “maré rosa” tem sido objeto de intenso estudo desde então com diversas explicações para o sucesso eleitoral das legendas de esquerda. Esta tese investiga uma dimensão ainda não explorada deste fenômeno, qual seja, a atuação da esquerda latino-americana, como desafiante do establishment partidário. O estudo analisa casos de sucesso e de fracasso, relacionando as distintas performances ao processo de institucionalização e de desenvolvimento de recursos partidários pelos partidos de esquerda desafiantes no continente. |
Abstract: | Throughout the years 2000 and 2010, Latin America saw the emergence of several parties of the left that managed to reach the National Executive of their countries. The so-called "pink tide" has been the object of extensive study with various explanations for the success of leftist parties. This research is explores a still unknown perspective, that is, framing the Latin American left as the challenger of the party establishment. The study analyzes cases of success and failure, relating the different performances to the institutionalization and the development of party resources by the selected challenger parties of in the continent |
