dc.description.abstract	The article proposes a reading of the comicalness in the work of Ariano Suassuna, constructed particularly from the representation of the miserable ones of the Brazilian Northeast "sertão". Less distant than the critical tradition supposes, the comicalness approaches the tragic referential that is part of the hard life of the “sertanejo”, the focal point of the Suassuna theater, and it is precisely from an idea of survival that the playwright elaborates his principal comic devices, marking in this way the litmus test of existence. For this, two works will be taken as examples and references for the argument of the text:O auto da compadecida, piece that consecrated the playwright, and Farsa da boa preguiça, written in 1960 and staged in 1961, shortly after the success of the first one.	pt_BR
dc.description.resumo	Propomos no artigo uma leitura da comicidade na obra de Ariano Suassuna, construída particularmente a partir da representação do miserável do sertão nordestino.Menos distante do que a tradição crítica supõe, a comicidade se aproxima do referencial trágico inerente à vida sofrida do sertanejo, ponto fulcral do teatro de Suassuna, e é justamente a partir de uma ideia de sobrevivência que o dramaturgo elabora seus principais dispositivos cômicos, marcando dessa forma a‘prova dos nove’ da existência. Para tanto, duas obras serão tomadas como exemplos e referências para o argumento do texto: O auto da compadecida, peça que consagrou o dramaturgo, e Farsa da boa preguiça, escrita em 1960 e encenada em 1961, pouco tempo depois do sucesso da primeira.	pt_BR
