| Abstract: | Esse artigo trata das principais obras de Annie Leibovitz, fotógrafa contemporânea de origem judaica, famosa pela qualidade estética e retórica dos seus retratos. Apesar de não ser adequadamente valorizada por boa parte da crítica especializada,em virtude do seu vínculo com o mercado, suas imagens, como se verá nesse texto, são complexas e têm grande importância para história da fotografia. Nessa reflexão sobre o seu trabalho foi utilizada uma metodologia de análise de base semiótica, combinada com os conceitos desenvolvidos por Aby Warburg sobre a sobrevivência das imagens. |
| Abstract: | This article deals with the main works of Annie Leibovitz, a contemporary photographer of Jewish origin, famous for the aesthetic and rhetorical quality of her portraits. Although it is not adequately valued by much of the specialized critic, due to its link with the market, its images, as will be seen in this text, are complex and of great importance for the history of photography. In this reflection on her work was used a methodology of analysis of semiotic basis, combined with the concepts developed by Aby Warburg on the survival of the images. |
