Title: | A Terra Imbolada, o direito traçado: estratégias de reprodução do patrimônio familiar no Médio Jequitinhonha |

Abstract: | The "inheritance lands" from the Medium Jequitinhonha consisted from relationships that articulated processes and hegemonic modalities of space appropriation to the colonized local forms of production of the "social territories." The exposure to the historical expropriation experiences and the shortage of its territory conformed an intense agency framework on the disposal and land transmission, composing a local grammar of successional mores geared to the guarantee of the social reproduction of the families. These localities constitute, today, spatial domains, of belongingness rebuilt politically in the silent countryside and daily management of its resources. The assay seeks to examine the customary practices of management of these territories; above all, their succession strategies based on practical, customary and localized knowledge, whose expressions take the form of ethical and affective dispositions assimilated to the genealogical discourse and the collective memory, records that assert the legitimacy of their territorial rights. |
