Abstract: | A presente pesquisa analisou como as atividades em Artes Visuais podem auxiliar no tratamento de pessoas portadoras de transtornos mentais. Verificou-se de que forma a Arte pode contribuir no processo de reabilitação e de inclusão desses indivíduos no espaço social e como promove a melhora no equilíbrio emocional e, também, como o uso dessas técnicas pode elevar a autoestima e como pode minimizar os efeitos negativos da doença. Para tanto foi feito um breve histórico acerca da Arteterapia e os precursores dessa técnica no Brasil dentre eles Osório César e Nise da Silveira, médicos psiquiatras que usavam as artes plásticas no auxílio ao tratamento de pessoas possuidoras de transtornos mentais. Abordou ainda como o conceito da Loucura foi tratado durante o tempo, e juntamente como evoluíram as formas de se lidar com a pessoas portadoras de sofrimento mental. Retratou como a Reforma Psiquiátrica Brasileira favoreceu à desinstitucionalização e a criação dos CAPS responsáveis pelo acolhimento de pacientes com transtornos mentais, ajudando-os na sua integração social e familiar e oferecendo-lhes atendimento médico e psicológico. Finalmente, apresentou um exemplo de práticas de atividades artísticas aplicado a beneficiários do CAPS de Ibirité. |
Abstract: | This research analyzed how activities in Visual Arts can help in the treatment of people with mental disorders. It verified how Art can contribute to the process of rehabilitation and inclusion of these individuals in the social space and how it promotes the improvement of emotional balance and, also, how the use of these techniques can raise self-esteem and how it can minimize the negative effects of the disease. For this, a brief history was made about Art Therapy and the precursors of this technique in Brazil, among them Osório César and Nise da Silveira, psychiatrists who used the plastic arts to help the treatment of people with mental disorders. He also approached how the concept of Madness was treated during time, and along with how the ways of dealing with people with mental suffering evolved. He described how the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform favored the deinstitutionalization and favored the creation of CAPS responsible for receiving patients with mental disorders, helping them in their social and family integration and offering them medical and psychological care. Finally, it presented an example of artistic activities applied to beneficiaries of CAPS of Ibirité. |
