Abstract:	Este artigo tem por finalidade colocar em evidência alguns traços distintivos da democracia que se fazem presentes nos trabalhos de Foucault, recorrendo, sobretudo, a dois conceitos utilizados em momentos distintos de seu percurso intelectual, a saber, os conceitos de inquérito e de parresia. Estas noções são importantes na medida em que permitem compreender a especificidade da relação entre democracia e as formas de manifestação da verdade.
Abstract:	This article aims at highlighting some of the distinctive features of democracy that are present in Foucault ‘s works, focusing mainly on two concepts used in different moments of his intellectual trajectory, namely the concepts of inquiry and parresia. These notions are important in so far as they allow us to understand the specificity of the relationship between democracy and the manifestation of truth.
