| Abstract: | Depois do surgimento dos implantes a quantidade de tratamentos odontológicos através de próteses implantossuportadas cada dia torna-se mais elevada e para maior longevidade dessas reabilitações deu-se uma busca nos fatores que podem levar a perda de implantes dentários. Um desses fatores ainda um pouco controverso, seria ter ou não mucosa queratinizada ao redor de implantes. Alguns autores alegam que não é primordial, mas se existisse uma faixa desse tecido seria melhor, pois a mucosa queratinizada ao redor de implantes tem uma grande importância funcionando como uma barreira protetora à penetração de microrganismos. |
| Abstract: | After the emergence of the amount of dental implants treatments through implantsupported prostheses every day becomes higher and higher longevity of these restorations has been a search on the factors that can lead to loss of dental implants. One of these factors still somewhat controversial, would have or not keratinized mucosa around implants. Some authors argue that it is not essential, but if there was a track that fabric would be better, because the keratinized mucosa around implants is very important function as a protective barrier to the penetration of microorganisms. |
