| Abstract: | Partindo de um breve panorama da extensão no cenário brasileiro atual, este trabalho apresenta uma ação extensionista do Grupo de Pesquisa MoM, articulada à pesquisa histórica e socio-espacial, bem como a práticas de ensino no âmbito do curso de graduação em arquitetura e urbanismo da UFMG, da Escola Municipal Professor Edson Pisani - EMPEPI, de ensino fundamental, e do Centro Pedagógico da UFMG - CP, em Belo Horizonte. Defendemos a ideia de que o trabalho extensionista, para ser frutífero às comunidades e à universidade, deve se dar em escala micro-local e estar orientado para a autonomia coletiva dos grupos interagentes. Além disso, essas ações devem ser constantemente alvo de reflexão teórica visando distinguir características locais e adaptar métodos de investigação e intervenção a cada circunstância. |
| Abstract: | Starting from a brief overview of the university extension in the current Brazilian scenario, this work describes an extensionist project of the Research Group MoM. This project is linked to historical and socio-spatial research, as well as to teaching practices involving students of architecture (Federal University of Minas Gerais) and of two elementary schools (Municipal School Professor Edson Pisani and Pedagogical Center of the UFMG). We believe in the principle that extension work, in order to be fruitful to both communities and university, must take place on a micro-local scale and be oriented towards the collective autonomy of the involved groups. In addition, these actions should be constantly under theoretical reflection in order to distinguish local characteristics and adapt methods of investigation and intervention to each circumstance. |
