| Abstract: | Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar a produção de taninos em diferentes partes da árvore e gerar equações que possibilitassem estimar a produção de taninos baseadas no diâmetro a 1,30m de altura do solo e altura total das árvores. Os dados foram coletados no Município de Botumirim - MG. Para modelagem utilizou dados de produção de taninos em amostras de cascas e folhas do barbatimão, utilizando os métodos de Folin-Ciocalteaue de precipitação da caseína. A partir da absorbância, utilizou-se a curva de calibração para determinação de tanino. As médias da produção de taninos das cascas dos galhos grossos e finos, do fuste e das folhas foram comparadas em uma análise de variância de um critério e teste de Tukey para um nível de significância de 5%. As equações foram ajustadas para modelagem da produção de tanino em função do diâmetro e altura. As produções nas diferentes partes da árvore diferiram estatisticamente e com o teste de médias, no qual as folhas apresentam quantidades inferiores de taninos em relação às demais partes da árvore que não diferiram entre si. Estas equações poderão ser usadas para estimar a produção de tanino em inventário florestais e subsidiar planos de manejo sustentáveis para essa espécie. |
| Abstract: | The aim of this study was to evaluate the production of tannins in different parts of trees and to generate equations that will make the estimative of tannins production possible, based on the diameter at 1.3 m at soil height and total height of the trees. The data were collected in Botumirim – MG. For modeling, it was used the data of the production of tannins in samples of barks and leaves of Stryphnodendron adstringens, using the methods of Folin-Ciocalteau and casein precipitation. For absorbance analysis, calibration curve for tannin determination was performed. Tannin production average from bark of thin and thick branches, of stem and the leaves were compared in ananalysis of variance of one way and Tukey test at a 5% level of significance. The equations were adjusted for modeling production of tannin in function of diameter and height. The production of different parts of the tree differed statistically and the leaves presents lower amounts of tannins regarding the other parts of the tree that did not differ among themselves. These equations can be used to estimate the production of tannins in forest inventory and subsidize sustainable management plans for this specie. |
