Abstract

The consolidation of the Psychiatric Reform and overcoming the paradigm asylum imply considering the current challenge related to the effectiveness of the proposals stemming from this movement. The evolution of care in mental health and seeking grants to support new practices in this field is crucial in this context of change. It is observed that the theme of Single Therapeutic Project (STP) has been the subject of policy discussion, authors and works, highlighting the relevance of the issue in this context of change and reinforcing this strategy as a promoter of the effectiveness of new practices in mental health. Considering the current and growing discussions around the theme, we seek to investigate, through a literature review, as the device Single Therapeutic Project is being implemented in the daily services of mental health care. The analysis of the articles shows an approximation of them directed to three important aspects regarding the implementation of the Single Therapeutic Project in mental health services: using this device in the organization of the work process, the linkage between mental health and primary care and the inclusion of family in this process. Notes on challenges and / or potential related to the operation of this device permeate this practice, and are scored on the course of studies. The three key aspects discussed in this study indicate that the construction of single therapeutic project is part of a process of change characterized by the attempt to make a practice based on mechanisms that favor the completeness and working together. The challenges related to the implementation of STP are linked to different factors and consistent with the consolidation of a practice in construction. The perception of professionals about the challenges and the quest to overcome them seemed to be relevant in the studies, indicating a process of construction and suitability of using this instrument.
