dc.description.abstractThe article presents a general panorama on the contemporary issue of misinformation and fake news. It focuses primarily on Brazil, but also aims to make a comparative analysis on public and private policies to fight fake news and misinformation. In order to do that, the article makes an attempt to gather the main definitions of fake news, and review the projects to fight misinformation that are now pending in Brazil’s National Congress.pt_BR
