Grupo operativo como ferramenta de apoio para redução tabagismo na área de abrangência da Estratégia de Saúde da Família Sebastião de Araújo Teixeira – Cristiano Otoni, Minas Gerais

Abstract

Smoking is among the top three disease-causing factors worldwide, along with hypertension and air pollution. The World Health Organization reported that tobacco kills half the lives of smokers and that smoking causes about six million deaths each year. In the present study, the use of tobacco was evidenced as the main problem suffered by the population in the coverage area Family Health Strategy Sebastião de Araújo Teixeira, in the city of Cristiano Otani in Minas Gerais. Bearing in mind that nicotine addiction is related to several comorbidities, causing cardiovascular, cerebrovascular damage and even cancer, which has made it the focus of specific preventive actions. For the preparation of the present work, initially a situational diagnosis was made by the method of rapid estimation, which made it possible to collect information and prioritize the problems. following databases: Pubmed, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences LILACS and COCHRANE Library with scientific articles published between 2000 and 2019. Next, an action plan for intervention of the problem in the community was proposed, following the Situational Strategic Planning method. With the creation of strategic actions and the use of the operative group as a tool to reduce the number of smokers, it is expected to make the population aware of the harm and decrease of users dependent on it.
