| Abstract: | O presente artigo levanta duas questões que problematizam o circuito artistico e a curadoria. No primeiro momento serão apresentados os Salões de Arte da Prefeitura de Belo Horizonte como mecanismo primordial de discussão, validação e fomento do circuito artístico na capital, tema já trabalhado na tese Os Salões Municipais de Belas Artes e a emergência da arte contemporânea em Belo Horizonte: 1960-1969 (2008) e no livro Por uma história da Arte em Belo Horizonte (2012). Contudo, após o furor identificado à arte contemporânea, assiste-se, em Belo Horizonte, um gradativo esvaziamento dos Salões de Arte, assim como do circuito. Tendo em vista esse cenário, apresentaremos a proposta curatorial que tem sido realizada no Centro Cultural UFMG desde 2014 no sentido de construção de um circuito de arte alternativo a partir da realização de exposições de artistas já consolidados como também jovens artistas. |
| Abstract: | The present article raises two issues that question art circuit and the curatorial practice. At first will be presented the Art Salons holded by City Hall of Belo Horizonte as a primary mechanism for discussion, validation and promotion of art circuit in the capital, already worked on the thesis The Municipal Halls of fine arts and the emergence of contemporary art in Belo Horizonte: 1960-1969 (2008) and in the book For a history of art in Belo Horizonte (2012). However, after the excitement identified to contemporary art, it is observed in Belo Horizonte, a gradual emptying of Art Salons, as well as the circuit. In view of this scenario, we will present the curatorial proposal that has been held at the Cultural Center UFMG since 2014 in order to build an alternative art circuit from performing exhibitions of artists already consolidated as well as young artists. |
