| Abstract: | O Alto Jequitinhonha, localizado a nordeste de Minas Gerais, passou por várias transformações históricas no seu processo de desenvolvimento”, mas sempre teve presença marcante da agricultura familiar, grande responsável pela oferta de alimentos, garantindo segurança e soberania alimentar nessa região. A Microrregião Homogênea (MRH) de Capelinha é parte do Alto Jequitinhonha, e centro deste trabalho, que tem como objetivo analisar as características demográficas e produtivas dessa MRH a partir de bases quantitativas de acesso público, que são: Censo Agropecuário 2006; Censo Demográfico 2010; Índice Mineiro de Responsabilidade Social; Plano de Desenvolvimento do Vale do Jequitinhonha. Os dados revelaram características singulares da demografia, produção e recursos naturais desse território. |
| Abstract: | Alto Jequitinhonha, located northeast of Minas Gerais state, underwent several historical transformations in its “development” process, but always had a strong presence of family farming, which is responsible for the food supply, guaranteeing food security and sovereignty in this region. The Homogeneous Microregion (MRH) of Capelinha is part of Alto Jequitinhonha, and center of this work, whose objective is to analyze the demographic and productive characteristics of this MRH from quantitative bases of public access, which are: Agricultural Census 2006; Demographic Census 2010; Social Responsibility Index of Minas Gerais state; Development Plan for the Jequitinhonha Valley. The data revealed unique characteristics of the demography, production and natural resources of this territory. |
