| Abstract: | Ao longo de seus trabalhos das décadas de 30 e 40, Jean-Paul Sartre elabora uma noção de corpo. Os ensaios de psicologia fenomenológica — sobretudo, Esquisse d’une théorie des émotions (Esboço para uma teoria das emoções) (1939) e sua concepção de um duplo caráter corpóreo —, tal como a obra literária — particularmente, o romance La nausée (A náusea) (1938) e seu destaque ao tema da contingência —, se encontram com a abordagem ontológica e dialética da corporeidade de L’être e le néant (O ser e o nada) (1943). Construir uma “noção”, entretanto, não implica somente a complementaridade entre os textos, mas também rupturas interpretativas; ao mesmo tempo, aponta para referências críticas, como a fenomenologia. O corpo, em Sartre, é de fundamental importância à compreensão de sua filosofia e ao enriquecimento das discussões contemporâneas. |
| Abstract: | Throughout his works of the 1930s and 1940s, Jean-Paul Sartre elaborates a notion of body. The essays of phenomenological psychology — especially, Esquisse d'une théorie des émotions (Sketch for a Theory of the Emotions) (1939) and its conception of a dual corporeal character —, such as the literary work — particularly, the novel La nausée (Nausea) (1938) and its emphasis on the theme of contingency —, meet with the ontological and dialectical approach to corporeality in L'être et le néant (Being and Nothingness) (1943). Constructing a "notion", however, does not only imply complementarity between the texts, but also interpretative ruptures; at the same time, it points to critical references, as phenomenology. The body, in Sartre, is of fundamental importance to the understanding of his philosophy and to the enrichment of contemporary discussions. |
