Abstract

INTRODUCTION: Non-pharmacological methods for pain relief during labor, providing a better evolution of this phase, making delivery as natural as possible, reducing interventions, making assistance more humanized, regatting the autonomy and active participation of the laboring woman of the companion. GENERAL OBJECTIVE: To implement non-pharmacological methods of pain relief during labor to women attended at a Reference Hospital of Tocantins. METHODS: In the periods of 2017 and 2018, there were occasional interventions on the non-pharmacological methods of pain relief proposed in this project, during shifts with the team present at the time. To promote the insertion of the obstetric nurse in the attention to the prepartum, delivery and the access to non-pharmacological methods of pain relief for the assisted women in the hospital environment. CONCLUSION: The team showed receptive how much the implementations of non-pharmacological methods of pain, through the understanding that the intervention project aligns the practice to a more humanized and less interventionist service, in addition to being a proposal of the Stork Network.
