| Abstract: | O objetivo do presente trabalho é o de investigar as inter-relações teóricas e empíricas entre o crescimento econômico, Sistema Nacional de Inovação (SI) e as exportações mensuradas pelo seu fator agregado para o Brasil. Pela utilização da metodologia de vetores autorregressivos (VAR),funções de impulso reposta (FRIs) e decomposição da variância do erro de previsão (FADV) se verificou que as exportações de bens manufaturados afetam de maneira mais duradoura a taxa de crescimento do PIB real trimestral do Brasil. Além disso, verificou-se que o SI afeta primeiramente as exportações (com certa volatilidade ao longo do tempo) que, por sua vez, afeta a taxa de crescimento real do PIB. Os resultados sugerem que o grau de desenvolvimento do SI é um determinante qualitativo do potencial produtivo de um país, o qual exerce um papel central na explicação das exportações por fator agregado. |
| Abstract: | The aim of this work is to investigate the theoretical and empirical interrelationships among economic growth, the National System of Innovations (SI) and the exports (measured by its aggregate factor). In order to do so we used the Vector Autoregressive (VAR) Model and impulse response functions (IRF) and the forecast error variance decomposition (FADV). It was found that exports of manufactured goods affect Brazil’s quarterly real GDP growth rate in a more sustainable way. In addition, it was found that SI first affects exports (with some volatility over time), which in turn affects the real GDP growth rate. The results suggest that the degree of development of the National System of Innovations (SI) is a qualitative determinant of the productive potential of a country, which plays a central role in the explanation of exports by aggregate factor. |
